The Wahkonsa Manor remodeling job has spilled out into the street. Behind orange fencing and trailers loaded with supplies on 10th Street, construction crews are rebuilding some exterior stairs. It's a highly visible job that's closed the road on the east side of the downtown Fort Dodge landmark. Inside the 98-year-old building, 44 of the 76 apartments have been remodeled.
